Delivery
I will ship your order within 3 business days. The time it takes to receive your order depends on the shipping method chosen at checkout. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on destination.
Returns
Items may be returned within 14 days of delivery, in original, unused condition and packaging.
- Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless the item arrived damaged or faulty.
- Refunds are processed within 7 business days of receiving the returned item.
- Please email info@matejstefanac.com before returning the product, so I can confirm the return and provide instructions.
Damaged or faulty items
If your piece arrives damaged, contact me within 48 hours with photos of the damage and packaging, and we'll arrange a replacement or refund.
Dust with a soft, dry cloth, avoid moisture and direct sunlight, and reapply beeswax every 6–12 months to keep the wood nourished. Minor color changes and grain variation are natural to solid oak over time.

Warranty
Alone in Kyoto is covered by a 1 year warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship, from the date of delivery.
This warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear, including minor scratches, dents, or changes in the wood's color over time
- Damage caused by misuse, overloading beyond the 80 kg static load capacity, or use outside normal indoor conditions
- Damage from exposure to excessive moisture, direct sunlight, or extreme temperature changes
- Damage caused by improper cleaning products or methods
- Any modification or repair carried out by someone other than matejstefanac.com
As a solid oak piece, Alone in Kyoto may shift subtly with changes in humidity and temperature, and its color may deepen slightly over time with light exposure. These are natural characteristics of solid wood, not defects. Variations in grain and tone are part of each piece's individual character, as every stool is handcrafted.
